TBMS uses a few cookies and similar technologies to keep things running smoothly, connects you to our broadcast service and helps us understand how the site is being used.
No ads. And definitely no tracking you around the web.
TBMS believes privacy should be easy to understand. This page explains what information
we may receive, why we use it and the choices you have.
CONTACTING TBMS
When you send us a message
If you use the TBMS contact form, we receive the information you choose to provide: your name, email address, optional subject and message. We use it to read, manage and respond to your enquiry.
TBMS currently uses WPForms Lite. Form entries are not stored as an entries database in WPForms Lite, although the resulting email correspondence may remain in our email account until it is no longer reasonably needed.
Our usual legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to genuine enquiries. If your message concerns a contract or a request before entering one, processing may instead be necessary to deal with that request.
LISTENING TO TBMS
Keeping the music playing
When you listen to TBMS, your device must connect to the technical services that deliver the radio stream and related station information. Like most internet services, those systems may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser/device information and connection data needed to provide and protect the service.
TBMS uses this information only where necessary to deliver, maintain and secure the listening experience. We do not use the radio player to build advertising profiles about you.
COOKIES & ANALYTICS
Your choice stays your choice
TBMS uses a small number of cookies or similar technologies to keep the site working and to remember the cookie choice you make.
TBMS uses Google Analytics as an optional measurement tool to help us understand how the website is used. Optional analytics is loaded only after you choose Sounds Good on our cookie banner. Choosing No Thanks keeps optional analytics off.
You can change your choice later from our Cookie Policy.
EXTERNAL SERVICES
When another service is involved
Some TBMS features depend on service providers — for example website hosting, email delivery, the contact form, broadcast infrastructure and, if you choose it, WhatsApp.
If you follow a link to an external service or contact TBMS through WhatsApp, that provider may process information under its own privacy terms. Where TBMS selects a provider to process information for us, we aim to use only the information and access reasonably necessary for that service.
If a provider processes personal data outside the European Economic Area, appropriate transfer safeguards must be used where required by data-protection law.
VOLUNTARY SUPPORT
When you support TBMS
If you choose to make a voluntary financial contribution to TBMS, your payment is processed by Mollie B.V. Mollie may process information required to complete and administer the transaction, including transaction information, payment-related details and other information you provide during checkout.
TBMS does not receive or store your full card or online-banking credentials. Relevant personal information may be shared with Mollie and, where necessary, its affiliates and payment partners for the purpose of processing the transaction.
For the personal data each party processes for these purposes, TBMS and Mollie act as independent data controllers in accordance with their respective obligations under applicable data-protection law. TBMS may receive transaction information needed for administration, accounting, verifying payment status and meeting legal obligations. You can find further information about Mollie's processing of personal data in the Mollie Privacy Statement.
RETENTION
We don't keep things forever
TBMS keeps personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was received, including answering an enquiry, maintaining security, resolving a problem or meeting a legal obligation.
There is no single retention period that fits every type of information. When information is no longer needed, it should be deleted or anonymised unless a legal requirement means it must be kept for longer.
YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
You stay in control
Depending on the circumstances, GDPR rights can include asking for access to your personal data, correcting inaccurate information, requesting deletion or restriction, objecting to certain processing and receiving data in a portable format where that right applies.
Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data-protection authority.
